Explorers will look at successful popular brands, analyze industry trends, design various articles of clothing, define their own brand and work on a presentation for families at the end of the week.
Intro to Comics Camp
Grades 3-5
Get a crash course in the creation of funny and realistic comics. We’ll start with practicing drawing cartoony people and animals doing almost anything. Then, you’ll create your own characters, which you can use in short comic strips or longer graphic novels. We’ll get practice writing comic strips as well as a longer graphic novel story for your character. Also during the camp, we’ll get practice turning something that really happened to you into a comic. You’ll leave our time together with finished comic strips or pages from your own graphic novel that have been thoughtfully written, penciled and copied in ink.
Woodshop & Woodworking
Grades 6-8
Join Meadowbrook woodworking faculty at the school's amazing woodshop to learn and improve woodworking skills and knowledge, all while working on and completing individual take-home projects.
